Too much gold?

I do love it. Gold. But, I worry that I resort to using it too much. That it has become a habit, or an easy way out.

In the last version of alpha.tribe I made a concerted effort to stay away from it. As I also did with the ShapeShifter sims from 2012 and 2014. But now I have some new ideas and gold keeps coming back. Nothing wrong with that - except I really hate habits. And gold, for me, is a design habit.
